[/caption]Family Circle Tennis Center serves as the site for various tournaments throughout the year including the Family Circle Junior Tennis Championship, the Volvo Car Open, the Annual Holiday Classic Presented by Allstate Wally Burbage Benefiting MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital, Adult Grand Prix Series and 12 & under Rising Stars junior tournaments.
Thank you to all the players who participated in the 10th Annual Holiday Classic Presented by Allstate Wally Burbage Benefiting MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital on December 1 – 3, 2017. Event included Men’s and Women’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles.
The 11th Annual Holiday Classic will be held on November 30 – December 2, 2018.
Online registration opens on Friday, September 28 at Annual Holiday Classic.
We appreciate the more than 150 MUSC Child Life Atrium Wish List items donated as a way to give back directly to the children undergoing treatment at the hospital. Wish List items included gift cards from Walmart, Target, Barnes & Noble, Michael’s, Play Station 3 games, Barbie and Ken doll clothes, board games (Checkers, Clue, Monopoly, Guess Who, Sorry), Uno cards, Lego kits, classic Disney DVDs and teen DVDs, coloring books for teens and children, Spanish bookies and movies, superhero action figures, party favor size containers of Play-Doh, plastic infant rattles, AA batteries, Chapstick Lipsmackers, latex free kid’s patterned Band-Aids, and arts and crafts supplies (blank canvases, children’s safety scissors, colored pencils, colored sharpies, craft kits, small packs of Crayola crayons, Crayola washable markers, Dot Art markers, small bottles of Elmer’s glue, figurines to paint, finger paint, Model magic, paint brushes, white pillow cases, and more).
Each year, more than 350 regionally and nationally ranked junior tournament players arrive the third weekend in February to participate in the USTA Southern Level 3 sanctioned Family Circle Junior Tennis Championship.
12 and Under Tournaments
In support of growing the game of tennis, Family Circle Tennis Center hosts various tournaments throughout the year for players 12 years old and younger.
The MWPractice and Play program is designed to link weekday practice sessions with weekend competitions.
